Greenwave Rentals provides professional battery power systems as an alternative to traditional diesel generators. We deliver, set up, and support silent, emission-free temporary power for film productions, live events, construction sites, hospitals, and other facilities across North America.

Battery power systems produce zero noise, zero emissions, and require no fuel. Unlike diesel generators, they can operate safely indoors, in enclosed tents, near food preparation areas, and in noise-sensitive environments. There's no refueling downtime, no exhaust fumes, and no fire risk from on-site fuel storage.

We currently deliver and support battery power systems across North America - including Vancouver, Kelowna, Victoria, Whistler, Calgary, and the BC Interior - as well as Los Angeles. If you're outside these areas, contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your project.

We serve three primary markets: Infrastructure & Backup Power (hospitals, construction, cold storage, data centers), Film & TV Production (gaffers, location managers, production coordinators), and Live Events & Weddings (festivals, corporate events, outdoor weddings).

Our fleet includes the VOLTstack 2K (2.4kW continuous, 2.8 kWh, 190 lbs), VOLTstack 5K (4.8kW continuous, 5.6 kWh, 330 lbs), Apollo 5K (3kW pure sine, expandable to 32.28 kWh), and the trailer-mounted VOLTstack 20K delivering up to 20.4kW. Our systems range from 2kW to over 20kW continuous output. Units can be linked together in arrays for larger loads - for example, multiple VOLTstack 5K or Apollo 5K units can be combined to power demanding equipment setups. The Apollo 5K with expansion batteries delivers up to 32.28 kWh of capacity.

All our units use LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry - the safest lithium battery technology available. LiFePO4 cells are thermally stable, non-combustible, and have a much longer cycle life than standard lithium-ion. All units are UL, CSA, and TUV certified.

Yes. Our battery systems produce zero mechanical noise - 0 dB. There are no moving parts, no engine, and no exhaust fans. This is why they're the preferred power source for film sets where dialogue recording is critical, weddings where silence matters, and hospitals where patient comfort is a priority.

Yes. The Apollo 5K supports split-phase and three-phase power output with an adapter, making it suitable for demanding professional equipment and larger electrical setups. Our team can help you determine the right configuration for your project.

Our units are self-contained and operational in under 15 minutes. No setup crew is required, no fuel connections, and no permits for fuel storage. For planned projects, we recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability.

We offer flexible rental terms - from single-day rentals for events and shoot days, to weekly and monthly terms for productions and construction projects, to ongoing arrangements for facilities requiring continuous backup power.

Yes. We deliver fully charged units directly to your location and pick them up at the end of your rental. Our team can also assist with on-site positioning and setup to ensure everything is ready when you need it.

Runtime depends on your power draw. For example, a VOLTstack 5K at half-load can run for several hours on a single charge. For multi-day projects, we can arrange battery swaps or provide additional units. Our Power Planning Tool can help you estimate runtime for your specific equipment.

Yes. Our units deliver pure sine wave output and can power ARRI Skypanels, Kino LED, Cineo, LitePanels, and HMI ballasts. A single VOLTstack 5K or linked Apollo array can run entire lighting setups. Our team can help spec the right configuration for your lighting package.

Absolutely. Battery power eliminates the noise complaints, fire marshal requirements, emissions restrictions, and fuel storage permits that prevent diesel generators from being used in many locations. This opens up indoor spaces, underground parking, residential neighborhoods, parks, and environmentally sensitive areas.

Yes. All our units are UL, CSA, and TUV certified. They produce zero emissions and zero exhaust, making them safe for indoor use, enclosed tents, hospital environments, and any space where diesel generators would be prohibited.

LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is considered the safest lithium battery chemistry available. Unlike other lithium-ion variants, LiFePO4 cells are thermally stable and non-combustible even under abuse conditions. Our units include built-in battery management systems (BMS) with internal monitoring and automatic shutdown protection.
